Bodony is a very special place, at the foot of the northern side of the Mátra Mountains, where even time passes differently. We found this house quite by chance and talked a lot about how great it would be to create a place where people would come simply because it was nice to be there, to spend time. We couldn't come up with any rational reason to take the plunge, although we fell in love with it at first sight.

We finally took over this guesthouse in August 2024.

Every time we stand in the yard, we feel like the silence is almost howling. As I look out from the end of the garden at the towering peak of the Mátra, I am always overwhelmed by tranquility.
It's always nice to arrive here, it's a place where time can slow down, where the stresses of everyday life can be overwritten by a quiet porch, a pleasant hike, or a shared laugh.

Adrienn works as a yoga instructor, so connection is especially important to her: to ourselves, to each other, and to nature. Balázs works in the field of IT and system design, but he most enjoys using his creative energies in rebuilding houses and apartments - he is constantly working on this house, too, with both hands, to ensure that every detail is perfect.

Caring for people is a true source of joy for us, and we want this guesthouse to be not just a place to stay, but a hideaway, a second home.
